The most unique performance at the Philly Folk Fest was one that brought two seemingly unrelated musical cultures that sound far removed from each other. Cathy Fink, Marcy Marxer and Chao Tian call their trio China to Appalachia. In this interview with T Morgan they explained how they were able to combine the traditional music from China with the music from Appalachia Mountains and other parts of the world to create their unique performance.
